Indie Games – A Venue Worth Exploring

March 3, 2009

I was never that into independent video games when I was younger.  That being said, with the internet being what it is now and all, access to such things is far easier to get now.  The 11th Annual Independent Gaming Festival coming up soon and voting’s commencing on the 15th finalists for IGF’s Main Competition Audience Award.   I think it’s important as gamers for us to be open minded to new entries within the art form and see what ideas they are exploring.  I’ve already played You Have to Burn the Rope as well as Coil and PixelJunk Eden and enjoyed myself, and  12 of these games are free to play or download online  so what’s really stopping you?
