In the same way X-Men fans are drawn to the mythology of being an outcast (whether you can control metal or are the biggest dork in school), so have many people found a place for themselves in Sunnydale. We've all been in a place at some point where we've needed encouragement, inspiration, or a laugh. Whether you love it, hate it, or don't know the first thing about it, Buffy's mythology is out there and known. That is true power. Yours was a really great abstract! In the same way X-Men fans are drawn to the mythology of being an outcast (whether you can control metal or are the biggest dork in school), so have many people found a place for themselves in Sunnydale. For the purposes of this article I felt the starkness of the original comment could help my argument, but he's not the mysoginist that simple comment makes him sound.
